Our Story

Breathe studio is a brand new boutique yoga and fitness space, located just a short walk from the historic Cahir Castle.

The ground floor yoga and fitness studio is the first step in the development of this previously derelict 3-storey building. Built circa 1802, the space was former home to ‘Black Toms’ pub, and more recently a chinese restaurant. We wanted to repurpose the building and ‘Breathe’ new life into the space in line with principles of Sustainable Development. The aim was to both preserve the architecural and cultural heritage of the building and to offer services to the community to enhance health and wellbeing. We are hopeful that this project will ignite social change and give locals an opportunity to live their best lives.

Our dedicated ground floor studio will host various types of yoga, fitness and wellness classes, workshops, retreats and events.

About the Owner

Hi, I’m Shelley founder and owner of Breathe Yoga and Fitness Studio. I am passionate about health and wellbeing and love sharing this passion with others. I have been involved with fitness my whole life and always knew I would make a career of doing what I love. After qualifying as a Physical Education teacher, I gained valuable experience working on remote construction sites around Australia as an Activelife Coach. I was surrounded by a team of health and wellness professionals and learned so much about teaching various classes, health promotion and leading a healthy lifestyle. Opening a studio is a massive learning curve, but I am excited for this new challenge.
